We are proud to announce the sale of 3048 Midway Drive in Point Loma. The building has been commonly known for live music shows, most recently, housed by the Shakedown Bar, a punk rock live music venue that closed its doors in late 2014. The property consists of a 1,667 square foot building situated on a 6,534 square foot parcel. Paul Ahern represented the Buyer – Banzai, LLC; and the Seller, Suzanne Webb-Rees represented themselves. We will keep you updated on what the new owners have in store for the building.

Congrats to Burger Lounge on signing their 19th lease deal! Del Sur Town Center is the lucky recipient of a Burger Lounge restaurant which is slated to open Q1 2016. Anchored by a 143,000 SF Target, the new lifestyle shopping center is right off of the 56 Freeway and has 10,000 homes within a 3 mile radius, making it a desirable location for the grass-fed burger chain. Mike Spilky represented the tenant and Emily Jones with Shea Properties represented the landlord.

Avilas
Orange County based Mexican restaurant, Avila’s El Ranchito, continues their coastal expansion, opening their 12th location in Seal Beach. Founded in 1966 with the original Avila’s in Huntington Park, they now have locations in Corona Del Mar, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and San Clemente, just to name a few. Salvador and Margarita Avila brought their recipes over from Guanajuato, Mexico over 40 years ago, allowing them to serve up some of Southern California’s most authentic Mexican cuisine to date. Mike Spilky represented the landlord and tenant in this transaction.
