With Summer now behind us and the first signs of Fall making their way into town, the pressure is on to grab the fourth quarter by the horns and make 2016 a banner year! As always, our focus is on delivering the highest level of service to our clients and making a positive impact on the San Diego restaurant and retail markets. It’s been a long couple of years filled with anticipation, but we are finally happy to report that Rakiraki Ramen & Tsukemen has officially opened its doors at 2254 India Street in Little Italy. The highly popular ramen restaurant first opened back in 2012 in a spot on Convoy in Kearny Mesa and has been going gangbusters ever since. It is no wonder Chef and owner Junya Watanabe had his eyes set on expanding his concept elsewhere and what better location than Little Italy, San Diego’s hub for Top Chefs. Location Matters represented the tenant in this transaction.

Top Retail Leases
Location Matters grabbed the #1 spot for retail leases completed in the month of June 2016, as presented by the San Diego Business Journal. Marc Karren successfully leased the 10,000 square-foot building located at 263 S. Coast Hwy in Oceanside to Ace Hardware, adding tremendous value to the property. Way to go Marc!

As we do each year, Location Matters attended the annual ICSC Western Conference & Deal Making held in our very own San Diego. Although we kept our calendars full by day, they were just as full at night, with many of our valued clients hosting evening cocktail receptions. This year we definitely hopped around, giving us a chance to catch up with our friends at Shea Properties, Regency Centers, Westfield, OliverMcMillan, and Donahue Schriber. Until next year…!
