Las Olas Point Loma – 3924 W. Point Loma Blvd., San Diego, CA 92110 |
Pt. Loma’s margarita-sipping locale shut its doors after a 3 year stretch on W. Point Loma Blvd. The authentic Mexican food restaurant chain opened their first location in 1981 right across the beach in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, which still remains on Highway 101 to this day. The buyer, local restaurateur Jaime Osuna, is bringing his ever popular Swami’s Café brand to the Pt. Loma community. This will be his seventh Swami’s in San Diego. The menu hinges mostly on all-day breakfast, from acai bowls to omelettes and breakfast burritos. Be sure to check them out in Spring of 2016. Paul Ahern represented the Seller and Buyer in this transaction.

New Year Team Celebration at Kettner Exchange |
|
We rung in the New Year with a company dinner held at ultra-swanky Kettner Exchange in foodie mecca, Little Italy. We stuffed ourselves silly on the restaurant’s “progressive American cuisine” and sipped on unique tastebud blowing cocktails. If you haven’t checked out Kettner Exchange yet, you are missing out.

4 Trends Shaping Tomorrow's Dining Rooms |
The next wave of restaurant dining rooms might focus less on looking spacious and cool and more on feeling like intimate living spaces—only with slightly less Netflix and slightly fancier cocktails—slightly. As consumers’ preferences tend toward social, convenient, transparent and authentic eating experiences, restaurateurs and designers are meeting the demand with designs that are smaller, faster and more open…

A Forward Look at Retail Construction |
Leading up to the economic downturn in 2008, retail was the only property type to experience a significant inventory increase. Between 2000 and 2008, total retail stock increased by 14.2 percent, more than double the inventory increase observed in the apartment and office sectors. Almost eight years later, we are left with a sector that has been overbuilt and under-demolished…
