February came and went, and March has arrived sunny and 73. February was promising for many restaurateurs with an uptick in sales as many dined out for Valentine's Day weekend and mask mandates were lifted. Ike's Love and Sandwiches — Sorrento Valley

People are starting to head back to their offices either full-time or in a hybrid format which bodes well for restaurateurs in Sorrento Valley. Lucky for everyone Ike's Love and Sandwiches will now be on the roster of lunch spots in Mercato at Sorrento. Ike's will be occupying a 1,000 square foot space that was previously Which Wich. Ike's sandwiches are easily some of the most cravable around, so if you haven't tried them yet it is time to put that at the top of your to-do list. Mike Spilky represented the Tenant.

Pali Wine Co. — Hillcrest

We recently negotiated a lease with Pali Wine Co., a wine bar inspired by California's central coast. Pali Wine Co. will open its second San Diego tasting room in the space that previously occupied Oscar Wilde's Irish Pub in Hillcrest. The pub/restaurant space will undergo a serious remodel to transform the space to Pali's brand where they will offer an elevated wine tasting experience, serving a variety of vino and charcuterie. We are excited to announce Carlsbad Village's Paon Wine Bar and Bistro will be opening a steakhouse concept right off Cannon Road in Carlsbad. Paon will be taking over the 4,700 square foot restaurant that was previously West Steakhouse and Seafood. Paon scored with this location, as the restaurant remains in pristine condition since its last operator. We are excited for the group to capitalize on all of the tourism, Legoland goers, and daytime business from the large enterprise companies nearby. Boss Bird — La Mesa Village

The long-awaited opening of Boss Bird Kitchen in La Mesa has arrived. The chicken sandwich concept debuted its new San Diego location in mid-February on La Mesa Blvd. Boss Bird took over the space in La Mesa Village that was previously Fourpenny House pub, from which they did a major remodel. Boss Bird is a San Diego favorite when it comes to chicken sandwiches and tenders so we are stoked the La Mesa community will now be able to enjoy their chicken locally. Alexis Dachs represented the Tenant.
