Considering what our world has gone through these past two years, we are beyond grateful for our team’s health and safety. We also could not be more blessed to have our brilliant and restless clients always keeping us busy. 2021 proved to us that opportunity is out there no matter what and we are certain 2022 will follow suit. Vinicola Varga — Downtown San Diego
Let the leasing begin! Location Matters was thrilled to be brought on to energize the historic old police headquarters project in the Marina District in Downtown San Diego. We are excited to announce the first new tenant to be added to The Headquarters roster is Vinicola Varga Tasting Room & Wine Bar. Varga Vineyards, a North County based winery who sources their grapes from their family owned vineyard in Oregon, is ecstatic for their tasting room that will also feature small bites and charcuterie in their quaint 340 square foot space. Alexis Dachs and Marc Karren represented the Tenant and the Landlord.

Salon Ink moved quick in transforming the old Urban Outfitters space on 5th Avenue into their beautiful new salon space. The salon covers 6,301 square feet and offers clients a bright open space to relax and pamper themselves. Location Matters was happy to help Paragon Real Estate lease up their prime real estate in Hillcrest to Salon Ink and PlantX. Marc Karren and Alexis Dachs represented the Landlord.

PlantX’s all plant-based market and café has opened in Hillcrest! We are excited for PlantX to break into the San Diego market with their XMarket on 5th Avenue. We know the concept will flourish in the Hillcrest neighborhood and are sure the brand will soon become a favorite amongst the San Diego vegan community. XMarket is quite the transformation from H20 Sushi & Izakaya which was previously in the 4,515 square foot space. Pop over and give the XMarket team a warm welcome and grab a healthy lunch this week! Mike Spilky represented the Tenant and the Landlord.

Main Chick Hot Chicken — Woodland Hills
Hot chicken is all the buzz right now and Main Chick Hot Chicken is adding to the chatter. With the opening of their Woodland Hills location last month, the group now has seven open and booming locations. We are stoked for Main Chick, who was able to open their 1,400 square foot space in Woodland Hills in less than three months after signing their lease. Alexis Dachs represented the Tenant.
