Greetings Friends!
March has come to a close and what a whirlwind of a month it was. Our hearts are heavy for our restaurant community as we all face unprecedented times. We can only imagine the toll closing one’s doors for such an extended period has taken on everyone involved. With so much uncertainty on the horizon, it is important to stay in the present moment and focus on what you can do right now. The San Diego community is rallying together to help one another and every day a new resource becomes available. We encourage everyone to remain hopeful, educate yourself, and keep you and your families healthy and safe. Below we have compiled a list of helpful resources for restaurateurs, retailers, and landlords to utilize. Through adversity and success, Location Matters is committed to supporting our clients and this industry. |

Marufuku Ramen – Carmel Valley
Marufuku's debut in The Sky Deck is sure to be the most authentic and craveable Japanese ramen in all Southern California. Specializing in rich and milky premium Tonkostsu broth cooked for over 20 hours, paired with ultra-thin artisanal noodles, and Cha-shu made from specialty selected pork, it is no wonder Marufuku has a line clear out the door all day, every day. With the signing of Marufuku amongst the other home-run restaurants, The Sky Deck is left with two restaurant spaces and we are seeking killer concepts that are going to be the cherry on top of this incredible project. Mike Spilky represented the Tenant.

Pesto Italian Craft Kitchen – Mission Valley
Drum roll please…Westfield's Mission Valley Mall will be welcoming Pesto Italian Craft Kitchen in 2020! Pesto’s hearty and healthy new spin on Italian cuisine has knocked it out of the park for the past few years at their location on El Cajon Blvd in College Area. The old Michael’s box is currently being re-developed to house Pesto, Cava, Mendocino Farms, and one additional surprise restaurant concept. We know shoppers and locals alike will flock to Pesto’s new 2,750 SF location and we could not be more excited to have gotten them into such a monumental project for Mission Valley. Mike Spilky represented the Tenant.
