Carmel Mountain Plaza | Claim Jumper Redevelopment
12384 Carmel Mountain Rd, San Diego, CA 92128
Kimco Realty hired Location Matters to merchandise & lease the redevelopment of the outparcel occupied by Claim Jumper in Carmel Mountain Ranch. The vision was to add seven new restaurant tenants to the shopping center pad. After Locations Matters pre-leased over 75% of the development, Costco ended up coming in and agreed to lease the pad subsequently taking down the Claim Jumper building for additional parking. The 20-year ground lease total consideration was valued at $13.4 million. Mike Spilky represented the Landlord.

408 Pier View Way — Downtown Oceanside
Location Matters is excited to announce that Grind & Prosper will be leasing the ground floor and rooftop of The Brick hotel in Downtown Oceanside. Grind & Prosper has seen great success with their other concepts like Miss B's Coconut Club, Park 101, and Louisiana Purchase, so we know the new concept they will be launching in Oceanside will be yet another hit. On the ground floor the group plans to feature New Orleans fare and the rooftop will offer Caribbean-style cocktails in addition to a menu of small bites. Both concepts will not only serve the community of Oceanside, but will also provide food service to Stone Brewing, Frankie's, and the guests who will stay at the boutique hotel. We were happy to help both the Landlord and Tenant in this deal and are excited for their partnership in this one-of-a-kind project. Mike Spilky represented the Tenant and Marc Karren represented the Landlord.

Craft House — Carmel Valley

Huge congrats to Craft House for opening their new location at The Sky Deck! We were so proud to be alongside Chef Caesar on his journey to get here. From starting out with a food truck, to a shared restaurant space in North Park, to opening the largest space in The Sky Deck, he is truly a walking success story of hard work and passion. Alexis Dachs represented the Tenant and Mike Spilky represented the Landlord.

Micheline's Pita House — Carmel Valley
Some of the best fast casual Mediterranean food in San Diego has graced us with a third location in Del Mar Highlands Town Center. We were stoked to help the group lock in a space in such a high-volume center. We are not surprised Micheline's Pita House is already cranking out of their 1,250 square foot space. Micheline's offers healthy Mediterranean dishes in a variety of ways whether it be a bowl, salad, or pita with some of the most flavorful sauces, hummuses, and chicken shawarma around. When we need a quick snack, we love grabbing a side of their homemade fluffy pita and their cilantro jalapeno hummus (a personal favorite). Mike Spilky represented the Tenant.
