June gloom may have started early this year but those Summer days we long for are just around the corner! It’s hard to believe that nearly half this year has flown by, but that’s what happens when you’re staying busy. These warmer months ahead bring much excitement for the San Diego restaurant and retail community as our streets are filled with vacationers, kids out of school, and people out and about enjoying the perfect weather. Taking over the space are two veterans of the Hillstone Restaurant Group, who are embarking on their first solo restaurant, to be known as Common Stock. They will provide fine-dining level hospitality while blurring the lines between full-service and walk-up counter ordering, offering classic American dishes with craft beer taps and thoughtfully curated wine-based cocktails. This sale marks the second time this building has been sold by Location Matters; just over one year ago, Marc Karren represented the previous owner in the sale of the property. This month, Location Matters completed the sale of Taco Asylum, one of the various uber-cool restaurants at The Camp, Costa Mesa's eco-friendly urban retail campus. Taco Asylum fans need not worry as the restaurant’s new owners have no plans to change the concept or any of the yummy gourmet taco recipes we all love! Mike Spilky represented the seller and buyer in this transaction.
Location Matters attended one of our favorite events of the year, ICSC RECon in Las Vegas! Time was well spent enjoying the various events of the weekend, deal making, mingling, and so much more.
