Slaters 50/50 Sold with Plans to Franchise

All six Slaters 50/50 stores were sold in late 2016, marking the beginning of a new chapter, rather than an end to the burger-centric brand. Sold to Elite Restaurant Group, Inc., new owner Michael Nakhleh plans to franchise the brand and continue its expansion nationwide.

Bankers Hill Bids Farewell to Hexagone; Welcomes The Corner Drafthouse

The End of an Era for Bernard’O Restaurant

After 24 years in business, Bernard’O Restaurant in Rancho Bernardo officially closed its doors in 2016. Long-time owner, Bernard Mougel, retired from the business and turned the location over to the capable hands of a young couple from France, who converted the space to a more casual bistro named Le Bistro de Louisa.
