Location Matters is thrilled to announce the nation’s largest wedding venue provider, Wedgewood Weddings, is opening a new event space at The Headquarters.
Built in 1939, The Headquarters originally served as the San Diego Police Headquarters bringing together all police operations together under one roof in a state-of-the-art facility of its time. Wedgewood is bringing their romantic touch to a sprawling 16,200 square-foot layout in what was previously utilized as the police headquarters gymnasium. The space itself boasts high bow truss ceilings and a mezzanine, making it perfect for adaptive reuse into a wedding venue. Surrounding the venue is a diverse blend of specialty shops and restaurants including The Cheesecake Factory, Eddie V’s, and Puesto. The addition of Wedgewood Weddings will breathe even more life into the center, making The Headquarters a legendary open-air waterfront square rich with history and alive with events for years to come.
The Headquarters is exclusively represented by Location Matters, with team member Marc Karren representing Wedgewood Weddings. The long-term lease fills a need within the center to occupy a large footprint that has remained vacant for over three decades, awaiting a strong operator.
