Studio Diner Two-Fold Transaction by Location Matters
posted underSan Diego, California – January 17, 2023
Kearny Mesa beloved ‘40s styled diner located at 4701 Ruffin Road in San Diego has been a staple in the community for the past 20 years. Studio Diner serves their delicious spin on diner classics with menu items and décor playing tribute to the restaurant’s location – a former movie and tv studio lot of Stu Segall Productions. The 4,500 square foot diner has gained national recognition by being featured in Guy Fieri’s Food Network hit series “Diner, Drive-Ins and Drive” twice.
The new owners of Studio Diner are not new to San Diego’s restaurant scene. Partners Sal Ercolano and Gil Frank have decades of experience and have made news with the purchase of The Butcher Shop on Kearny Villa Road and the opening of Flora Bar and Kitchen in Pacific Highlands Ranch. We are confident in this duo’s ability to take amazing care of the Studio Diner brand.
Location Matters represented this transaction two-fold in both the sale of Studio Diner and a new lease. With full representation from our team, David Cutler represented the Seller and Mike Spilky represented the Buyer in the purchase and the new lease simultaneously.
